Hey, I’m Mareck Damiano. Roughly six years ago I got my hands on my first modern digital camera. Over the next two years, I built my initial experience through urban landscape and portrait photography. I transitioned into video through a photography client asking if I could do a music video. Since that first music video, I’ve become fixated with not only the creative process of filmmaking, but also the incredible outcomes it can enable for artists, causes, and brands.

UTOPIA Media And Marketing LLC is more than just my company. It is the culmination of what I’ve seen a need for over my first four years as a videographer. There have been many times (regarding both music videos and branding/marketing content) when a client asked for content to be created. After the video, photo series, etc. was made it would be uploaded online as expected. The problem is, though, that its impact wouldn’t be fully realized. This is because without a strategic plan and the necessary time available to execute it, it is incredibly unlikely a piece of content will rise above the masses of content posted every day.

When the right strategy is used, a piece of content not only gets its maximum exposure, but also has the ability to elevate your craft, cause, following, revenue, etc. I see trailers as a necessity when making a music video. I see photos are necessary for use with a video advertisement. I see a content plan as necessary for any project. Doing this will ensure, to the best degree possible, that your investment in a piece of content actually pays off.

When content is made well and its rollout is correctly created, content becomes more than the sum of its parts. It becomes something that creates a community devoted to you and your brand.
